Come and celebrate World Animal Day on October 4th at Newcastle Foreshore, as artists from across Australia come together for the first annual Paws and Claws Bodypainting Competition.  Watch as our talented competitors work throughout the day to transform models into living masterpieces

Held at the Mattara Festival, it will be a fun family day out with something for everyone, including the Petstock’ Pets on the Park’ Parade, rides, food, market stalls, and plenty of live entertainment. This event is family-friendly and all of our models will be modestly covered in a bikini (and of course, lots of paint!!)

From 10am you can wander through the bodypainting village and watch the artworks come alive. Our skillful artists will be working all day for a runway show held on the main stage at 3:30pm.

With our ‘People’s Choice’ Award, you can vote for your favourite, and have a chance at winning some great prizes from supporters such as Petstock.

The event will help raise awareness of important animal rights issues and support the valuable work of organisations such as 'Animals Australia'.
